=============================================================================== Release Information =============================================================================== KMD WorkZone Content Server 2021.0 Released November, 2020. Version information: KMD WorkZone Content Server 21.0.1158.0 ================================================================================ Prerequisites, Clients and KMD Configuration Management ================================================================================ Internet browser: - Internet Explorer 11 - 32 bit x86 and in non-compatibility mode - Google Chrome version 68 or later (32 bit and 64 bit) - Microsoft Edge version 18 (32 bit and 64 bit) For more information, see the Support Matrix for KMD WorkZone Content Server. =============================================================================== Prerequisites, Server =============================================================================== General requirements -------------------- You must have administrator permissions in Microsoft Windows to run the installation program. Oracle Server ------------- Important: All versions of the Oracle 11 database server are not supported by Oracle or WorkZone 2021.0. Please note that core WorkZone 2021.0 functionality will not work on an Oracle 11 database. Supported Oracle server version see support matrix. Oracle Client ------------- By default, the Oracle client is installed as part of the WorkZone Content Server installation. If you want to install the Oracle client separately, do not select the Oracle ODBC driver feature in the WorkZone Content Server installation wizard. You must manually install the Oracle Client for Microsoft Windows (32-bit) release 19.5 on the web and agent servers. Run as administrator -------------------- You must always run programs, for example scansql, as administrator. Requirements for Windows ------------------------ .NET Framework 4.8 features are installed as part of the WorkZone Content Server installation. Additionally, Microsoft .NET Core 2.2 Runtime & Hosting Bundle for Windows (v2.2.1) is also installed as part of the WorkZone Content Server installation. - Windows Server Roles: Select Web server (IIS). Expand Web Server, and select the following roles: * Common HTTP Features: * Default Document * Directory Browsing * HTTP Errors * Static content. * Performance * Static Content Compression * Dynamic Content Compression * Security: * Basic Authentication * Windows Authentication. * Application Development: * .NET Extensibility * ASP.NET * ASP * SAPI Extensions * ISAPI Filters. Version 4.0 (2008) or 4.5 (2012). ?Expand Management Tools and select the following roles: * IIS Management Console. * IIS 10 Management Compatibility: * IIS 10 Management Console - Windows Server Features Select the following .NET Framework 4.6 Features: * WCF Services * HTTP Activation * TCP Activation * TCP Port Sharing Office Services require that the WCF Services feature is installed. Note: On Windows Server 2008, the WCF Services features are added as part of the .net v.4 installation. - ISAPI and CGI Restrictions: * In Service (IIS) Manager, set ASP.NETv.4 (32 bit) to Allowed. Note: The ASP.NETv.4 (32 bit) is located in the Framework folder as opposed to ASP.NETv.4 (64 bit), which is located in the Framework64 folder. If you, by accident, set ASP.NETv.4 (64 bit) to Allowed instead of ASP.NETv.4 (32 bit), you will not be able to start the installation. IIS URL Rewrite --------------- If you want to apply URL rewrite rules, you need to install IIS URL Rewrite 2.0 on the web server(s). This is required to ensure that URL paths are redirected to the new paths used as from the 2014 release. See Add URL rewrite rule. Note: If you run https, you need to bind the Default Web Site in Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager. SMTP mail service ----------------- If you plan to use Agent SUB and WorkZone Content Server Imaging, you must install SMTP mail service on the agent server, where Agent SUB and WorkZone Content Server Imaging are running. You add the SMTP Server feature in Server Manager. Default configuration --------------------- WorkZone Content Server has been tested on servers that use the default configuration that has been set by the supplier, for example, Microsoft or Oracle. Therefore support cannot be guaranteed if these settings are changed. Examples of changed settings are changes to the system rights concerning objects, keys in the registration database, files, reconfiguration of the system, as well as removal of features and files. Execution of VBS files ---------------------- VBScripts are used for creating the WorkZone Content Server database. Thus the server must be able to execute .VBS files when creating and upgrading the system. Active Directory Directory Services tools - Optional ---------------------------------------------------- You may need to check and verify the Active Directory (AD) in connection with error handling. To make this easier, you can install AD DS and AD LDS tools as feature under remote server administration. ================================================================================ Installation ================================================================================ Important: The Captia Web client is no longer supported from KMD WorkZone 2018.2 and newer and the installation package no longer contains the Captia Web client. Installing WorkZone using Olympus scripts During the installation of WorkZone Content Server, the Microsoft .NET Framework is also updated to version 4.7.2 but in order to activate the .NET framework installation, the WorkZone Content Server must be restarted. If you are using Olympus scripts to install WorkZone, the Olympus scripts cannot restart the WorkZone Content Server. You must therefore manually restart the content server. The procedure for installing WorkZone using Olympus scripts is: 1. Install the WorkZone Content Server 2. Restart the WorkZone Content Server manually 3. Install the rest of WorkZone 2021.0 products Overview -------- New Web Client: Yes Database Changes: Yes Website Changes: Yes Other: Yes Database changes: WorkZone Content Server 2020.1 - New grants are used which require access to the sys user when upgrading the database. - A new set of tables have been added to support the new chat feature. - Various minor changes such as new fields to support the auto purge. - Change in freetext search, the domain index i_ctx_register_text is dropped and replaced by 6 new domain indexes: - i_ctx_address_free_text - i_ctx_contact_free_text - i_ctx_employee_free_text - i_ctx_file_free_text - ctx_ou_free_text - i_ctx_record_free_text These indexes must be created after upgrade of the database, using scansql menu item ‘Sjbase, Text indexes’. Data for these indexes is still generated from the register_text, and reindeksing by agentFix is therefore not required. WorkZone Content Server 2014 - In addition to small changes such as new fields and indexes and some minor data corrections, there is one data correction that may take some time. The Doc_length is set in the RECORD_FORMAT_VERSION table for all PDF versions. The doc_length is taken from the archive. WorkZone Content Server 2013 R2 - A new column, elab_text, is added to the NAME table and therefore all records in the NAME table are updated. - A new free text index is introduced with the name I_CTX_NAME_ELAB_TEXT. You must create this index after upgrading the database. - All records in the RECORD table where document_type like excel.sheet.* or like powerpoint.show.* are checked for the correct document_type. This is done by looking at the first 14 bytes of the blob in the archive, and if it is not correct, the record is updated to the correct document_type. This fixes an error where the document_type was registered as excel.sheet.8/powerpoint.show.8 instead of excel.sheet.12/powerpoint.show.12. - A new KEYWORD table is introduced. It contains all unique keywords that are registered on cases, records, or contacts respectively. Therefore this table is populated during the update of the database. - A new Oracle job sjsysadm.sjp_mru_list.delete_all_mru_list is introduced. If it is already null it is not updated, but all records are selected. - The name 'Indscan bruger' user is deleted and therefore all entries in record_name where this user is used are also deleted. - The debug table is truncate by a job every night at 4 o'clock. - The Enterprise Foundation Server (EFS) and WorkZone for Office database part is now a part of standard database installation. - It is now an option to install the database part of Content Services (also called Collaboration) when installing/upgrading a database. Notes: - Installation of KMD WorkZone Services (Enterprise Foundation Services) is now included in the WorkZone Content Server installation. - This release does not include KMD WorkZone Client. You can install it separately. See the KMD WorkZone Content Server and WorkZone Configuration Management Installation Guides for more information.
