Security group rights
To view or edit security group rights, you must have the DATAADM access code.
You can configure security rights (that is, enable or disable user permissions to create, read, update, and delete the Case, Document, and Contact entities and their information (Case date, Case information, Case party, Document date, Document information, Document party, Contact date, Contact information, Contact reference, and Address) for each security group (assigned security codes from 1-10).
- Security codes 1 through 9 are used by WorkZone Client end users. Security code 10 is used exclusively by KMD technicians.
- After editing security rights, you must reset IIS for your changes to take effect.
Permission types
- Insert - users can create new entities and their information.
- Search - users can find and view existing entities and their information. By default, all security groups have this permission enabled - otherwise the users will not be able to see anything in the system.
- Update - users can edit existing entities or their information. Users who need to edit existing data must be assigned a security group that has this permission enabled.
- Delete - users can delete existing entities or their information.
The Case entity has 2 additional permissions:
- Lock - users can terminate a case in WorkZone Client.
- Unlock - users can reopen a case in WorkZone Client.
