Install the CVR Update Module (on-premises only)
After you have configured the KMD Logic platform and got the Client ID and Client Secret, you can install and configure the CVR Update module in WorkZone. The installation steps apply to on-premises WorkZone setup
Install the CVR Update module
The CVR Update module installation program is included in your WorkZone installation, but is not installed automatically. You must install it manually.
The CVR Module contains two components: The CVR Update Service and the CVR Subscription Service. Each service must be installed on separate WorkZone servers.
Important: In case of manual reinstallation of the CVR Update module, you will need to reconfigure the services (step 4 in the Deploy and configure the CVR Update service and step 4 in the Deploy and configure the CVR Update Subscription service).
The CVR Update service
The CVR Update service employs OData to schedule and perform the actual updates to WorkZone data. The CVR Update service is an Agent.COM-based Windows service and is installed on the WorkZone Agent server.
Note: The CVR Update service can only be installed on one instance to ensure data consistency during import synchronization.
Install the CVR Update service
To install the CVR Update service, on the WorkZone Agent server machine, run the Kmd.WorkZone.CvrUpdate.Setup.Msi file, located in the CVR Update folder in the installation folder of WorkZone. The default location is C:\Program Files(x86)\KMD\WorkZone\Program.
In the KMD CVR Update Setup form > Custom set up page, select Update service and click Next to start the installation.
Important: The CVR Update service will be installed on the machine but the service is not configured, deployed or started. You must deploy and configure the CVR Update service before the service can be started on the machine.
The CVR Subscription service
The CVR Subscription service is an ASP.NET web-service and manages the connection between KMD Logic events and WorkZone and also helps to ensure that only data for the existing CVR and Production unit contacts in WorkZone is imported from the Datafordeler. The CVR Subscription Service is installed on the WorkZone web server.
Install the CVR Subscription service
To install the CVR Subscription service, on the WorkZone Web server machine, run the Kmd.WorkZone.CvrUpdate.Setup.Msi file, located in the CVR Update folder in the installation folder of WorkZone. The default location is C:\Program Files(x86)\KMD\WorkZone\Program.
In the KMD CVR Update Setup form > Custom set up page, select Subscription service and click Next to start the installation.
