Oracle SQL Developer

Oracle SQL Developer is a free integrated development environment that developers, technicians, and database administrators can use to edit, develop and manage on-premise and cloud-based Oracle databases.

Oracle SQL Developer is not included in the installation of WorkZone Content Server. You can download SQL Developer from the Oracle Web site.

The WorkZone Content Server installation supplies custom setup files and reports that target the WorkZone database. The setup files and reports are installed on the web server in C:\Program Files (x86)\KMD\WorkZone\Program\SqlDeveloper.

Custom setup of SQL Developer

The WZSetupFiles folder in the SQLDeveloper folder contains optional setup/configuration files for the SQL Developer environment. It includes the following files:

• Product-preferences.xml: Stores UI parameters for the SQL Developer user interaction for a more convenient user interface setup.
• ReadMe: Contains instructions for installing the optional setup/configuration files.
• connections.json: Contains a predefined database setup of DB01.

You can set up the database when you run SQL Developer the first time instead of using the connections.json file.
