Custom types, example
A custom type called CasePrices has been created in WorkZone Configurator with the idea of adding different sales price tags to the case. The custom type contains the following custom type fields:

Adding the custom type to a case
If the user adds the CasePrices custom type to a case detail tab, the following information is displayed in the Tab selector pane:
- CasePrices(CaseNo01)
- CasePrices(CaseNo02)
If the user selects CasePrices(CaseNo01) as the connector, the custom tab will display all the custom type fields listed above, apart from the CaseNo01 field, which is used as a connecting field.
Adding the custom type to a contact
If the user adds the CasePrices custom type to a contacts detail tab, the following information is displayed in the Tab selector pane:
- CasePrices(ConNo01)
- CasePrices(ConNo02)
If the user selects CasePrices(ConNo01) as the connector, the custom tab will display all the custom type fields listed above, including CaseNo01 and CaseNo02 but not from the ConNo01 field, which is used as a connecting field.
Adding the custom type to a document
Finally, if the user adds the CasePrices custom type to a documents detail tab, the following information is displayed in the Tab selector pane:
- CasePrices(DocNo01)
- CasePrices(DocNo02)
If the user selects CasePrices(DocNo01) as the connector, the custom tab will display all the custom type fields listed above, including ConNo01 and ConNo02 but not from the DocNo01 field, which is used as a connecting field.
Note: Users can also freely select the CaseNo02, ConNo02 or DocNo02 custom type fields as connectors in the three descriptions above, which will may lead in confusing results.
