Troubleshooting

If you are working with embedded Excel spreadsheets in Word and the following error message is displayed:The program used to create this object is Excel. That program is either not installed on your computer or it is not responding. To edit this object, install Excel or ensure that any dialoges in Excel are closed.

To work around this issue:

Close all open instances of Excel and repeat your action.

To work around this issue, please clear cache in the Internet Explorer:

1. In the upper-right corner of the Internet Explorer window, select Tools > Internet options > Settings > View files.
2. Delete the files in the INetCache folder.
