WorkZone AI - Suggest redaction

It is often a time-consuming, difficult and heavy task to identify all sensitive personal information in the large documents, for example, when sharing them with another audience, and the risk of overlooking such information can have major consequences for individuals, companies and organizations.

AI - Suggest redaction is a new module for WorkZone Client that offers AI-based detection and annotation of personal identifiable data in PDF documents. AI - Suggest redaction uses AI-based language models provided by KMDTxt and trained through machine learning to recognize different sensitive and personally identifiable information. Currently, AI - Suggest redaction can recognize identifiers of people, locations (addresses and placenames), organizations, CPR numbers, phone numbers, email addresses, credit card numbers, and passport numbers, with more identifiers to be added in future releases, and the possibility to request your own identifiers to train.

AI - Suggest redaction can be accessed directly from WorkZone Client via the Advanced PDF module (the Annotations and redaction license to Advanced PDF must be purchased separately). After the user selects which kind of data they want to redact (for example, persons, organizations, locations, CPR-numbers, email addresses, and so on), matching AI-based suggestions will be displayed in a form of redaction annotations, that can be approved or declined, as well as sent for review to the other users. Approved redaction annotations will be inserted directly into the PDF document, covering the redacted text by black bars that cannot be hidden or removed. See Redacting PDF documents.

Important:

  • In this release, AI - Suggest redaction works with PDF documents in Danish language only, and supports Danish format of zip codes, addresses, phone numbers, and so on.
  • AI - Suggest redaction supports only text format (that is, images or signatures will not be recognized for redaction).

  • AI Suggest Redaction is an independent licensed module that runs in combination with Advanced PDF.

  • The redaction process is irreversible. It is recommended to enable and use Document Versioning in WorkZone Configurator when redacting PDF documents, to be able to restore an earlier version, if needed.
