Define WorkZone Process notification settings

WorkZone Process notification settings determine how and if a user, unit or the entire organization is to receive notifications concerning events and information triggered from WorkZone Process.

The following notification settings can be defined:

• Send Smarttasks as emails: Emails that contain a task with response buttons.
• Send Email notifications: Emails sent when a task is changed, for example, a task has been updated by another user.
• Send Push notifications: Notifications sent to a mobile device when a task has changed.

WorkZone Process notification settings for units and users will override any global WorkZone Process notification settings defined in WorkZone Configurator.

WorkZone Process notification settings - Users

Users can define their own notification settings in their Personal settings pane on their user profile in WorkZone Client or you can define the settings for them.

WorkZone Process notification settings - Units

WorkZone Process notification settings can be defined for WorkZone units on the unit detail page and can be used to customize which WorkZone Process notifications are received by a unit.

Units are considered a separate contact with their own WorkZone Process notification settings and in many cases, own email account. Users can therefore receive notifications to their email account based on their user notification settings as well as receive notifications to their unit's email account based on the unit's notification settings.

Like the user WorkZone Process notification settings, the notification settings of the unit will override the organization's global WorkZone Process notification settings.

 

In WorkZone Client, click the Open button in browser tab page area and select a unit to open the unit detail page.

You can also create a contact search for the unit you want to edit and open the unit detail page from the search results.

WorkZone Process notification settings can be defined for the entire organization in WorkZone Configurator > Process > Process settings > Notifications.
