Display access codes
The access codes for a case and a document are by default displayed as texts and not the actual code itself as the access code is often expressed as an acronym and not easily readable. You can change the display parameters of the Read access and Write access fields for cases and documents to display the access code instead of the access code text.
- In the Home ribbon, click Settings > Edit configuration to open the Edit configuration form.
- In the Edit configuration form > Search in field, select which type of configuration you want to edit.
- In the Edit configuration form > Select configuration to edit field, select the specific configuration you want to edit. Configurations that contain changes are displayed with a small gear icon (
). You can filter the drop-down list by entering filter criteria in the field. - Click Edit to start editing the selected configuration. The configuration you are currently you are editing is displayed in an orange message bar is displayed on the page.
- In the Main ribbon, click Case and select the case type you want to edit the detail tab page for to open the case detail page1.
- In the case detail page, click
Configure page in the right-hand corner of the detail tab page to open the Available fields pane. - The Available fields pane is open on the right side of the screen.
In the case detail page:- In the Read access field, click
Configure control and select Advanced to open the Set control parameters form.
- In the Set control parameters form, select the Display access code only check box and click Apply to save your changes and close the form.
- In the Write access field, click
Configure control and select Advanced to open the Set control parameters form.
- In the Set control parameters form, select the Display access code only check box and click Apply to save your changes and close the form.
- In the Read access field, click
- In the case detail page > Available fields pane, click Apply to save your changes and close the form.
- When you are done editing the configuration, click Settings > Save configuration to open the Confirm dialog.
- In the Confirm dialog:
- Click Yes to save the selected configuration and exit configuration editing.
- Click No to return to configuration editing.
1 If you want to edit the case detail tab page for other case types, you must repeat this procedure for each case type.

Configure control and select Advanced to open the Set control parameters form.
- In the Set control parameters form, select the Display access code only check box and click Apply to save your changes and close the form.
- In the Read access field, click
- In the document detail page > Available fields pane, click Apply to save your changes and close the form.
- When you are done editing the configuration, click Settings > Save configuration to open the Confirm dialog.
- In the Confirm dialog:
- Click Yes to save the selected configuration and exit configuration editing.
- Click No to return to configuration editing.
