Fonts
Prerequisite:
To manage fonts, you must be assigned the CONFIGADM access code.
In addition to the standard fonts supplied by WorkZone, you can upload and manage custom fonts used by your organization. These fonts are used by WorkZone PDF, WorkZone Process, and WorkZone Mass Dispatch when converting documents to PDF.
If a document contains fonts that are not supported, they will either be replaced automatically with a supported font, typically Arial, or the conversion will fail depending on the configuration of WorkZone PDF. For more information, see Cancel conversion if fonts are missing.
Add a custom font
- On the start page, click PDF.
- On the Fonts tab, click
Create.
- In the Create font dialog, select the font to upload.
Font files are automatically saved to a case named FontsCase.
-
Only custom fonts are shown on this page.
-
Custom fonts will not work in SmartPost if the LocalPdfMerge setting is enabled for performance optimization. See Configure SmartPost. If you enable the LocalPdfMerge setting, the letters to the recipient and copy recipients will be rendered differently.
-
When using a standard PDF format or certain PDF/UA formats such as PDF 1.7 (that is, not PDF/A), the custom font must also be installed on endpoints to be rendered correctly. The fonts can be deployed through Active Directory or installed for individual user or all users in system settings.
Only the PDF/A format embeds fonts, which ensures that they are included in the PDF document.
