Push notifications available for the Tasks module

You can receive push notifications about the new tasks assigned to you or changes to your existing tasks (for example, about changes to task documents, task deadlines or priorities). See How can I receive notifications?

Prerequisite: Push notifications must first be enabled by your administrator in WorkZone Configurator under Process > Process settings > Notifications > Send push notifications. See Process notifications in the WorkZone Process Administrator Guide.

Task-related enhancements

When working with your tasks, you can add or remove task documents, task approvers, or task workflow steps. See Add or remove task documents, Add or remove task approvers, Add or remove workflow steps.

Bug fixes for document preview and document annotations.

Work with delegated tasks

If you are a delegate for another user, you can switch to this user's task list and work with their tasks. See Work with your delegated tasks ( only).

Task-related enhancements

  • When viewing your task list, tap on a task or a task document to load it with the highest priority from the WorkZone server. This can be useful, if you need to load a significant number of tasks and task documents (for example, after reinstalling the WorkZone Mobile (New) app).
  • Use the Take over button to take ownership of the task and prevent it from being edited by other users. See Take over a task ( only).
  • Add comments to tasks. See Comment on a task.
  • Add or remove task workflow steps for advanced submissions. See Add or remove workflow steps.
  • Add or remove task approvers. See Add or remove task approvers.
  • Filter the existing documents, when selecting task attachments. See Add or remove task documents.
  • For Hearing tasks, click the pin icon to preview the needed task document.
  • Click ? to open the relevant help page directly from the task detail screen.

View tasks as PDF

You can view the summary of your task and its attached documents in a single PDF file. See View task as a PDF.

Add or remove WorkZone documents to tasks

New Relic integration

WorkZone Mobile (New) app is now integrated with the New Relic monitoring tool to enhance performance monitoring and improve the app's stability.

Enhanced handling of the WorkZone Mobile (New) app updates

When you update to a new version of the WorkZone Mobile (New) app, all your existing data is preserved.

Tasks module available for Android and iOS versions

  • You can view your tasks and their details, respond to a task, view the summary of your task and its attached documents in a single PDF file, view task documents, annotate tasks from the PDF view, and edit Microsoft documents (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) with the relevant Microsoft 365 app.
  • New Refresh button is added for the document preview screen, so you can reload currently opened documents.

Support for NTLM authentication

In the environments that rely on Windows-based authentication, users can now log in with their NTLM credentials.
