Dashboard customization

You can customize the WorkZone One dashboard so that it always shows the exact data that you need. The dashboard consists of widgets that display data in, for example, list form. When you customize the dashboard, you can add, remove, move, and resize widgets.

Configure the dashboard

Important: You can always configure your personal dashboard. If you have the CONFIGADM access rights, you can also configure global dashboard for your whole organization.
  1. To edit your personal dashboard: Click Personal.

    -Or-

    To edit global dashboard (CONFIGADM access rights required): Click Home.

  2. Click Edit in the upper right corner of the dashboard to enter configuration mode. While in configuration mode, you can:

    • Click Add widgets in the upper left corner to open a list of the available widgets that you can drag and drop to a location in the dashboard.
    • Move the widgets that are currently in the dashboard by dragging and dropping them to a new location. 
    • Click Edit widget in the upper right corner of a widget to edit it.
    • Click and drag the button in the lower right corner of a widget to resize it.
    • Click Restore to restore the dashboard configuration to default settings.
    • Click Cancel to exit configuration mode without saving your changes.
  3. Click Save configuration when you are finished customizing the dashboard. Your saved configuration changes will apply immediately.

Configure a widget

  1. While you are in configuration mode, click Add widgets to open the pane of available widgets.
  2. Drag and drop the desired widget type to the dashboard. The new widget will be empty until you select a data source for it.
  3. Click Edit widget in the upper right corner of the widget.
  4. In the Configure widget dialog:
    • On the Widget settings tab:
      1. Name the widget in the Title field.
      2. Select a saved WorkZone search in the Data source field.
        • You can select your own saved searches, as well as saved searches that are shared with you.
    • Optionally, on the Columns tab:
      1. Re-arrange the displayed columns by dragging and dropping them to their new position.
      2. Click to remove the column from the widget view.
      3. Click Add column to select a new column that you want to display.
  5. Click Save. Your saved configuration changes will apply immediately.

In WorkZone One, you can add the following widgets to display data:

  • List: Display items from a saved WorkZone search in a list.
