About notifications
You can receive notifications as emails in Outlook and as notifications that pop up on your mobile device. The types of notifications that you can receive and the actions that can cause the notifications to be sent are similar for the notifications received via and email and mobile device.
Notifications via email
Email notifications must be enabled by your system administrator. For more information about how to enable email notifications for one or more users, see Configure email notifications in the WorkZone Process Administrator Guide.
Notifications via a mobile device
If you want to receive notifications on your mobile phone or tablet, you must have WorkZone Mobile installed. For information on how to turn on notifications on mobile device, see How can I receive notifications in the WorkZone Mobile User Guide.
Types of notifications
There are the following types of notifications.
Notifications for actors
You will get the following notifications on processes that you are an actor in. That is, when you have active tasks assigned to you.
- You have a new task.
- Your task has been updated by another actor.
- Your task has reached its reminder date.
- The response deadline of your task has been reached.
- Your task has been canceled by another actor.
- Your task has been made obsolete by another actor.
- The priority of your task has changed.
Notifications for the process owner
You will get the following notifications on processes that you have started yourself, or if you are the delegate of the process owner.
- An actor performed an action.
- An actor updated the process title.
- An actor has a task that has reached its reminder date.
- An actor has a task that has reached its response deadline.
- An actor has canceled your process.
When relevant, you can perform various actions from the notification, for example, answer, skip or reject.
