Materials

Prerequisite: To configure materials, you must be assigned the PROCESSADM access code.

The Materials module is used to set up materials that are used in the SmartPost process. A material determines whether the user can reply to a message.

Create a material

  1. On the main page, select Process.
  2. On the Materials tab, in the bottom right corner of the page, click Create.
  3. Fill in the following fields in the Create material dialog box:

    • Name – Name of the material that is visible to users.
    • Localize name– Specify names visible to users.

    • Material ID – The identifier of the material that the organization has created in the Administration Portal.
    • Order – The order in which the materials will be shown in the Material field in the Send SmartPost dialog. Enter a number.
    • Start date – The date when the material becomes active. Before the start date, the material is not visible in the user interface.
    • End date – The date when the material is deactivated. After the end date, the material is not visible in the user interface.
    • Access code – Click and select units and users who should be able to see and use the material.
    • If you are setting up a material for the Danish next generation Digital Post (NgDP), you can enable the following parameters :
      • Optional title prefix on shipped messages - Add a text that will prefix all titles in messages.
      • Permit users to reply - Select this parameter to allow recipients to reply to messages.
      • Messages are mandatory for the receiver - Select this parameter to enable the sending of mandatory messages.
      • Messages are regarded as from a authority - Select this parameter if the sender is a public authority.
      • Messages are legal notifications - Select this parameter to enable sending of legal notifications.
  4. Click Create.

Edit a material

  1. Point to the material that you want to update.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Apply the required changes in the Edit material dialog box.
    Note: You cannot edit the Name value.
