Prevent automatic deletion of cases or documents
Prevent sending expired cases and documents to the recycle bin
Expired cases and documents will not be automatically sent to their respective recycle bins if the Automatic soft delete retention policy parameter has been disabled.
- In WorkZone Configurator > Retention > Retention policies, select the retention policy you want to disable automatic deletion for.
- Hover the mouse over the
icon to open the icon menu and click
Edit to edit the settings. - In the retention policy settings form, disable the Automatic soft deletion parameter.
- Click Save to save your changes and exit the form.
Prevent deleting cases and documents from the recycle bin
Cases and documents will not be automatically deleted from the recycle bin if the Purge period field is empty or if the Automatic purging retention policy setting has been disabled.
- In WorkZone Configurator > Retention > Retention policies, select the retention policy you want to disable automatic deletion for.
- Hover the mouse over the
icon to open the icon menu and click
Edit to edit the settings. - In the retention policy settings form > Purge period field, delete all values, leaving the field empty

In the retention policy settings form, disable the Automatic purging parameter. - Click Save to save your changes and exit the form.
