Document tabs
You can now organize case documents into tabs. Each tab displays a filtered view of the documents on the case, making it easier to find and work with related content. You can create multiple document tabs on a case and switch between them to quickly sort and focus on specific documents. See Document tabs.
Configure case, document, and contact pages
As a WorkZone administrator (that is, if you have the CONFIGADM access code), you can configure case, document, and contact pages, including their meta data fields, for your end users. You can configure pages for each case category, contact type, and document type (main or supplemental). See Configure a case, document, or contact page (for admins).
Configure list widgets
When adding a new list widget or editing an existing list widget, you can select which columns will be displayed in this list and in which order. See Customize WorkZone One .
Create contacts directly from the Add parties dialog
You can now create a contact directly while adding parties to a case or a document. If the contact does not exist, click Create contact in the Add parties dialog, select a contact type, and enter required information. The new contact becomes available in the Add parties dialog allowing you to add it to the Parties list. See Create contacts as parties on a case and Create contacts as parties on a document.
List enhancements
- Close and reopen cases from the lists
: From the case list, you can now close and re-open multiple selected cases at once, without having to go to the individual case pages.
- Sort lists by column: You can sort any list in the ascending or descending order by values in that list's column. See Sort a list.
- Filter lists: You can filter any list by one or more of its columns to narrow down the displayed results or to find specific items. See Filter a list.
- Search in lists: You can search in lists to quickly find the needed items within that list. Search in a list.
Edit case, document, and contact information from the preview
When working with cases, document, and contacts, you can edit their information fields directly from the preview pane, without having to open the respective case, document, or contact page. See Edit case details, Edit document details, and Edit contact details.
Miscellaneous enhancements
- Move (rejournalise) archived documents to another case: If you have the DEJOURNALADM access rights, you can move an archived document to another case. See Move (rejournalise) an archived document to another case.
- When adding new widgets to the WorkZone One dashboard, you can select your own saved searches, as well as shared with you saved searches as the data source. See Customize WorkZone One .
- Danish date format: When you use WorkZone One in Danish, all dates and calendar are displayed according to the Danish conventions.
Contact references
You can create contact references to indicate a relation between multiple contacts (for example, for legal guardians, parents, and so on). Existing contact references are displayed in the Contact references section on the contact page and in the contact preview pane. See Add or remove contact references on a contact.
Copy existing cases
You can copy an existing case and reuse its content for a new case. See Copy an existing case.
Case reminders
You can create case reminders to track important dates for your cases. On the specified date, the recipient will receive a reminder with instructions provided in the reminder's text. See Add, edit, or remove case reminders.
Configure the new case fields
If you have the CONFIGADM access rights, you can configure fields that will be displayed in the Create case dialog. See Configure fields in the Create new entity dialog (for admins).
Personal app
You can now set up and use a personal dashboard where you can add lists of cases, documents, or contacts based on your saved searches, arrange them the way you like, and create a workspace that supports exactly how you work. See Dashboards and Customize WorkZone One .

You can now configure, edit, and adjust widgets, dashboards, and list views. See Customize WorkZone One .
New page for personal settings
You can find the new settings page in the upper right corner of WorkZone One. Click your profile picture and select Settings. On the settings page, you can configure language settings and specify default behavior when you make actions in WorkZone. You can also customize the appearance and theme of your WorkZone interface. SeeThe settings page.

- Easier search for the case templates
: You can type just a few characters without adding a wildcard (*) or another search operator to find matching templates in the Select case template dialog.
- Improved format of WorkZone link texts for shared cases and documents
: Link texts of the shared WorkZone cases and documents have cleaner format, containing only essential information.
- New Save and lock button available for notes
: You can now save and lock a note with a single action. See Add a note to a case.
- New
Import from file system button available for adding new case documents. Previously, you could only add the new case documents from your file system via drag-and-drop. See Add a document to a case.
Miscellaneous enhancements
- Printing case documents: You can now see the supplementary documents in the Print case documents dialog. Previously, only the main documents were displayed.
- An
arrow next to a document indicates that this is a main document that contains one or more supplementary documents. Click the
arrow to expand the list of supplementary documents.
- When you select to print a main document, all of its supplementary documents will automatically be included. You can deselect them manually, if needed.
- An
- Contacts with a CPR or a CVR number now show a CPR/CVR status code in the Contact information field on contact detail pages.
Improvements to working from the preview pane
This version of WorkZone One introduces some improvements to the Preview pane. You can add documents to the open item in the pane, expand the pane for a larger workspace, and collapse the displayed lists and widgets in the pane.
View and edit access restrictions for cases, documents, and contacts
If any access restrictions apply to a case, document, or contact, you can preview the applied access codes. See Preview the applied access codes. You can also add or edit access restrictions to cases, documents or contacts. See Add or remove access restrictions.
Documents that you open in a web-based browser automatically open in Edit mode
When you click Open in > Editor (web), the file will open in Edit mode if you have write access to it. Previously, the files opened in View mode by deafult. See Open a document in a web-based editor.
Manage document versions
You can now track and restore previous versions of documents. You can view, download, and restore earlier versions directly from the Activities > Versioning section.

We have enhanced both simple and advanced search based on user feedback.
Advanced search improvements

Choose to search for open cases or closed cases or all cases.

Clear the fields on the search page by clicking the
Clear search button.

Use enhanced date criteria fields, such as Created from/to, Modified from/to, and Closed from/to (cases only).

Include child case groups in your case search. Select the Include child groups check box to include the selected case group and its child groups.

Case templates
When you create a new case in WorkZone One, you can now base your new case on a case template. Case templates are predefined templates where one or more case fields are automatically populated when you select it for creation. See Create a case from a case template.
Annotate and redact PDF documents
You can annotate and redact PDF documents by adding your comments, highlighting or emphasizing sections of text, adding shapes and lines, and generally inserting feedback and suggestions to the document, as well as removing sensitive, personal, private, or classified information not intended by policy or legislation to be distributed publicly. See Annotate PDF documents and Redact PDF documents.
Nova color scheme available for WorkZone One
Your WorkZone administrator can enable Nova color scheme for WorkZone One (in WorkZone Configurator, under Global > Feature settings > WorkZone One > Kommune > Nova Color Scheme).
Working with documents
When you change a main document to a supplementary document, the Main document dropdown will only show main documents from the current case.

Export WorkZone lists to Excel
You can export any list from WorkZone to Excel and have all information about the items of this list automatically inserted into an Excel document.
WorkZone Process integration
You can start processes directly from WorkZone cases, monitor their progress, and complete tasks without leaving WorkZone.
- A new All processes section is added to the Activities tab for case, document, and contact pages. Here you can find an overview of all related processes and their details.
- A new SmartPost button is added for case pages. Click it to send a SmartPost from the current case, or select another process type from the drop down to start a relevant process based on the current case.
Integration with SAPA
A new Open in SAPA button is added for cases and contacts with identifiable CPR or CVR information. It allows you to navigate from the WorkZone case pages and contact pages to SAPA (Sags- og Partsoverblik, a Danish case and party overview system) web portal, and quickly view there citizen or company information collected from all municipalities. See Open in SAPA .
Case references
You can view, create, and remove case references (that is, links to/from other cases that might be relevant to the current case handling).

Integration with FirstAgenda
You can create and view FirstAgenda agenda items, and preview their details directly from the relevant WorkZone cases.

- Case creation: Responsible and acting units are now required fields during the case creation.
- Metadata widget: You can scroll in text on the closed cases.
- PDF printing: When you select documents from a case list, the order in which they were selected is preserved in the print dialog.
With this release, we introduce WorkZone One. This new solution consolidates KMD Nova and KMD WorkZone into a single solution designed specifically for municipality customers.
